Wings recall Langfeld from Grand Rapids
From today's Detroit News:
The Detroit Red Wings recalled forward Josh Langfeld, a former Michigan Wolverine, from the Grand Rapids Griffins on Monday when defenseman Brad Norton was sent down.
Jason Williams (concussion) is not available until Friday and Tomas Holmstrom (groin) was held out of Monday's practice, meaning Langfeld could play tonight in Vancouver.
Defenseman Niklas Kronwall (groin) and goalie Chris Osgood (hand) are also questionable for tonight.
In 108 NHL games with Boston, San Jose and Ottawa, Langfeld has nine goals and 21 assists.
This year with the Griffins, Langfeld is second in team scoring with six goals and 12 points in 15 games. He was among the Red Wings' final cuts during training camp.
