Bullock named new Port Huron captain

Port Huron Flags' center Greg Bullock has been named the new team captain following Ryan Gillis' trade to Bloomington earlier this week.

Head coach Stan Drulia selected Bullock for the position based on his work ethic in practice, as well as his commitment to the team's success.

"It was a very easy decision to make," said Drulia. "Every day on the ice, Greg is a leader and I think the whole team would agree that it was a no-brainer."

Bullock is thrilled with his new role.

"Anytime you're selected as a captain, it's obviously a great honor because it shows how much confidence people have in you, as well as your experience in knowing what to do and say in certain situations," he said. "In accepting the responsibility, I'm hoping to help the team turn things around for the fans and everyone involved."

Steve Hildenbrand and Ryan Markham will maintain the roles of assistant captains.
