Michigan UHL teams - News & Notes

Flint Generals - (1-0-1) – Rookie forward Mike Zbriger scored a goal in his first game with the team on Saturday. He was acquired in a trade with Chicago a day earlier…Forward David Frawley has scored his four goals this season on just eight shots to lead the UHL in shooting percentage (.500)…The Generals scored the first six goals of the game in Saturday’s 7-4 win vs. Kalamazoo…Flint is out-shooting the opposition 113-78 in the third period this season…Forward Jan Eriksson had two goals in a span of 1:28 during the second period on Sunday.

Kalamazoo Wings - (1-1-0) – Rookie right wing Justin Cross is on a three-game goal streak...Kalamazoo is one of two UHL teams (Elmira) that are undefeated on the road…All seven games this season for the K-Wings have been vs. Eastern Conference opponents…Kalamazoo’s six-game streak of scoring the first goal of the game was ended by Flint on Saturday…20 of the 33 goals scored by Kory Karlander during his time in a K-Wings uniform have been scored on the power play…Center Shawn Snider had his six-game point streak snapped on Saturday.

Muskegon Fury - (2-1-0) – The Fury have scored four or more goals in each of their ten games this season. They have allowed three or less goals in all but one game…Muskegon has a power play goal in each game this year… Goaltender Clayton Pool is 6-0-0 this season. He has won all five road games for the team…The club currently has the top five scorers in the UHL…Center Todd Robinson leads the league in scoring. He has been held without a point in just one game this season and has eight multi-point games.

Port Huron Flags - (0-3-0) – The Flags where shutout in back-to-back games during the week and are in the midst of a four-game winless streak... Dustin Traylen currently leads all UHL goaltenders in minutes played (423:33)… Center Jeremy Tucker ranks fourth among UHL rookies in shots on goal (19)…Jeff Cameron is tied for first among UHL defensemen in shots on goal (37). Ryan Gillis ranks fifth (29) in that category…The Flags lead the league with 122 minor penalties.
