Muskegon gets win No. 600

The Muskegon Fury earned their 600th UHL win on Friday night with a 4-2 victory against the Elmira Jackals in Elmira, New York.

The Fury have the most wins in league history.

Muskegon seemed to be well on their way to win 600 when Elias Godoy scored a goal at 3:34 into the first period. Godoy was named UHL Rookie of the Month last Wednesday.

Adam Smyth gave the Fury a 2-0 lead heading into the first intermission when he scored an unassisted goal late in the period. The Jackals would not let Muskegon get win 600 that easy, however, as they stormed back with two power-play goals in the second period to even the score at 2-2 heading into the third period. Jon Insana scored on the power play midway through the final period to give the Fury the lead once again. Smyth scored his second goal of the evening with just over a minute left to seal the win.

Goaltender Clayton Pool made 34 saves to earn the victory. Pool has won all four of Muskegon's road games.

Elmira then beat the Fury, 7-4, Saturday night to end Muskegon's eight-game unbeaten streak this season.
