Generals add two, release three

The Flint Generals released three players and added two more through this afternoon's United Hockey League waiver draft.

In order to reach the UHL's roster requirement of 19 pros and two amateurs, the Generals released forward Dave Frawley. Then, in the ensuing waiver draft, they picked up defenseman Nick Harloff from Elmira and forward Evan Kotsopoulos.

The 22-year-old Harloff, once a Wayne State recruit, split this season between Quad City and Elmira. In 68 games, he had six goals, 22 assists and 76 penalty minutes.

The 22-year-old Kotsopoulos had 16 goals, 25 assists and 208 PIM in 74 games with Muskegon.

To make room for Harloff and Kotsopoulos, the Generals released defenseman Preston Cicchine and forward Rick Smith.

Also in the waiver draft, Kalamazoo lost forward Brent Cullaton to Bloomington, Port Huron picked up defenseman Joe Markusen from Elmira and Kalamazoo got forward Glenn Detulleo from Elmira and then released defenseman Jordan Hart.
