K-Wings hand out hardware Saturday

The Kalamazoo Wings announced the recipients of the 2006-07 player awards, presented following the K-Wings home game Saturday night against the Fort Wayne Komets at Wings Stadium.

The following were the awards and the recipients of the K-Wings Awards Ceremony:

KOHA Plus-Minus Award: Kory Karlander
Otten Trophies Star of the Game Award: Kory Karlander
Keyser Insurance Group Leading Scorer Award: Kory Karlander
Meijer Most Improved Player Award: Mark Versteeg-Lytwyn
Pepsi Sportsmanship Award: Nick Bootland
Kalsee Credit Union Unsung Hero Award: Lucas Drake
Fifth Third Bank Defenseman of the Year Award: Adam Elzinga
Centennial Wireless Rookie of the Year Award: Ryan Nie
