Muskegon's Watt named UHL's most sportsmanlike
The United Hockey League announced Thursday that Muskegon Fury left wing Mike Watt has been named the 2006-07 UHL Most Sportsmanlike Player as selected by league head coaches, general managers and members of the media.
The 31-year-old native of Seaforth, Ontario, ranked second on his team and sixth in the league with 79 points. He ranked among the top 10 in the UHL with his totals of 35 goals and 44 assists.
In 68 games played for the Fury, he complied a plus-24 rating and was assessed only 32 penalty minutes. His plus-24 rating tied him for the sixth-highest rating in the UHL. He had six game-winning goals, recorded three hat tricks and was selected to the 2007 UHL All-Star Classic, tallying one goal in the game.
